 Did you know that not all Superheroes wear capes? At Camp Coconuts, our heroes are mature goofballs who are eager, excited, and dedicated to enriching the lives of children! 


Coach in Training (CIT) 

The CIT will be responsible for assisting all staff in ensuring the safety and well being of all campers, while role modeling leadership skills, and have the desire to work with others. The ideal applicant will have gone through our Teen Leadership program, although any applicant with experience working with children is encouraged to apply. All applicants must have at least an eight-week commitment, be at least 15 years of age, and eager to learn! Our CIT's will work under the supervision of our coaches and Junior Coaches, assisting them with daily duties. We encourage candidates to independently become involved through every step of the way (online application, scheduling of interview & attending the interview) as for we create a non-intimidating atmosphere to enhance their work ethic and provide the confidence and practice they need for future endeavors. 

Junior Coach (JC) 

The JC will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in ensuring the safety and well being of all campers, while role modeling leadership skills, and have the desire to work with others. All applicants must be at least 16 years of age, a nine-week commitment, have at least 1-year experience working with children, and endless amounts of energy! A friendly demeanor is essential in maintaining optimum camp experience. Our JC's will work under the direct supervision of the group's Head Coach. We encourage candidates to get involved through every step of the way (online application, scheduling of interview & independently attending the interview) as for we create a non-intimidating atmosphere to enhance their work ethic and provide the confidence and practice they need for future endeavors. 

​​Head Coach

Head Coaches are the role models, support system, a mentor to our younger staff, and big brother or big sister to campers. Much of the summer's success lies with the relationship between coaches and campers. Our program is offered throughout the camping season and requires at least a 9-week commitment. For most campers, great coaches mean for a great summer! Coaches will rotate with their group throughout the day taking their campers through their jam-packed schedule, assist during elective activities, and have endless amounts of energy to enhance camper experience all day long! Our coaches work under the direct supervision of the Division Leader. All coaches must be CPR/AED & First Aid certified before the season begins. Any candidate that feels they are up to the challenge of changing a life, apply today!

Are experts in our program areas: Aquatics, Sports, Ropes & Team building, Martial Arts Creative Arts & Performing Arts, and more! As an activity specialist, you will be called on to work with various age groups, group leaders, program heads-- just about everyone. You will have an opportunity to share what you can do and teach what you know. You will learn more about your specialty and yourself
