Camp Coconuts ensures the safety of all the campers and staff as an affiliate of the American Red Cross and an accredited Learn-To-Swim Facility! 


We would like to open training to community participants looking to become educated on how to effectively respond to emergencies and emphasize the importance of water awareness to prevent drowning. Our instructors will provide students with confidence in their ability to take control in the moments that matter most. We offer classes in Babysitting, First Aid& CPR/AED, Lifeguarding, Junior Lifeguarding, and Water Safety Instructor! If you're interested in taking a course with us  to learn skills that will make a difference in the lives of your family and community members, call or email us today for more information! 


Lifeguard

(Ages 15+) Students will be provided with the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies, provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, in addition to injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS arrive and take over. Our instructors will work with students to demonstrate their strongest sense of leadership, teamwork, and skill set. The students must attend all classroom sessions, pass a pre-assessment swim, and pass both written and practical exams with a minimum of 80% to receive certification.

Additional online fee of $35 may be applied for online work.

​Water Safety Instructor

(Ages 16+) Students will be provided with the knowledge and skills to work with swimmers of varying abilities in and around the water. Students will learn techniques to enhance a swimmers comfort, and be able to provide feedback in a constructive and positive manner. Our instructor will work with students to demonstrate their strongest sense of leadership, teamwork, and skill set. The students must attend all classroom sessions, pass a pre-assessment swim, and pass both written and practical exams with a minimum of 80% to receive certification. Pending certification, the student will be identified as an instructor with the American Red Cross. 

Additional online fee of $35 may be applied for online work.

​Adult & Pediatric First Aid & CPR/AED

(Ages 15+) Students will learn how to care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in addition to sudden illness in order to effectively respond in any given situation. Our instructor will work with students to demonstrate their strongest sense of leadership, teamwork, and skill set. The students must attend entire classroom session and pass both a written and practical exam with a minimum of 80% to receive certification.
